inspiration

this site has grown out of a love for food related TV shows, recipe based websites and the italian food we cook often. it’s a new creation for us and like cooking it will take time.

makers

mestolando.com is produced by claudia and brian in florence, italy.

claudia, a native florentine, comes from a family in which she learned many recipes from watching her father, who has always cooked for the family ever since she can remember. some of claudia’s other passions are illustration, design and volley ball. claudia has lived in England as well as 5 years in the United States before returning to live in her home town and country.

brian is an expat living in florence and happily making sure every recipe on mestolando is cooked to perfection. some of brian’s other passions are the web, design, video and the indie spirit he finds in many people.

we have a simple contact form for general inquiry, saying hi or any personal comments about the site. we also have a section of the site we call the blog, a playground of sorts to write about what we’ve learned or some of the odd things we encountered while taping the video recipes.
